You see, Ace is Shevaughn's 1st case & Black Jack picks up 4 years later in her career. This way you can see how she has matured. And me too, for that matter. I admit when I wrote Ace, I wanted to grab the reader & shake 'em up, so it's more gory & perverse. Black Jack is smooth & creepy.
