PART 4: FUN SIDE
Would you say you are an extrovert or introvert?
I am definitely an introvert except when it comes to writing. Then IÂ have a lot to say…LOL. I am quite content being by myself with my thoughts.
Do you like to cook? If so, what are your favorite dishes to cook?
I like to but don’t love to cook. I make a mean not necessarily spicy, more so mildly spicy chili. I am also quite good cooking meats, like a marinated chicken, steaks and roast beefs. I think my mixed greens are tasty as well.
What movie(s) have you watched recently that you would recommend?
I am not much of a movie goer, since I get up so early in the morning for work, I usually fall asleep at the halfway point in a movie. The last few movies that that I really enjoyed watching was Taken starring Liam Neeson and the Biggie Smalls biography.
Do you like books being turned into a movie? If so, what is your favorite book-to-movie? Â
I think some of the best movies ever where based on books. My favorites is The Color Purple.
If ‘Til Debt Do Us Part was turned into a movie who would you cast to play your characters? Â
Wow, that’s a tough question. If Til Debt Do Us Part were to become a movie, I’d like to see Thandie Newton play Nikki, Don Cheadle playing Jeff, Alfree Woodward as Eveline, Nikki’s mother, and Vivica Fox play Maya.
Which social networks do you enjoy the most?
I am a member of the Phenomenal Women’s Network and I enjoy all the information that they impart. I am grateful to my network of MySpace friends, they leave such timely wonderful messages on my page and Facebook.
What’s next for you?
I have a 2010 release in the works with Urban Books titled Faith and Keeping Misery Company will debut on the big screen in the summer of 2010. In the meantime I will keep writing!
ABOUT THE BOOK
Life was easy for Nichole Singleton, with a voice like an angel, a job she adores, and a church she has called home since her teens. While Jeffrey, Nichole’s loving husband, has control over the life they are living, Nichole still feels blessed . . . until her gambling “hobby” turns into a personal cross to bear that threatens to destroy her marriage.
Through her trials and tribulations, will Nichole remember to put her trust in God and reaffirm her faith in the Lord, or will she see her marriage and gambling habit as bigger than even the God she serves?
RAWSISTAZ BOOK REVIEW
“In ‘TIL DEBT DO US PART, Michelle Larks has written a powerful and very real testament to the trials and tribulations couples can go through trying to make a marriage work financially, emotionally and spiritually. She uses her writing skills to weave a very believable story around two of the biggest problems facing couples today: finances and a lack of communication. She presents not only the problems and the natural responses to them, but she also offers spiritual solutions. I thoroughly enjoyed this hearty read. Though predictable in some aspects, the entire journey was one surprisingly intense and inspirational ride.” READ FULL REVIEW
