We’re a bit past the middle of our Holiday Reading Challenge and it is going wonderfully. I, for one, am very glad to be doing the challenge since I haven’t read as much as I’d like this year. Granted, I’m constantly rushing to get the books read, but so far, I’ve only missed one read, so for that I’m happy.
How is everyone doing? Can YOU hang? Update us on what you’ve read thus far, ratings, and which book/chat you enjoyed the most.
We’ve had some great discussions on the various books and I didn’t mention it, but at the end of the challenge, we will do a favorite book poll. Don’t forget about the prizes for those who read & participate the most, too (3 winners). It’ll be a wonderful gift pack to help start off the year.
Haven’t participated yet? It’s not too late to get your read on!
We have 7 books left (8 if you count our BOM) for the challenge, so use some of your time off for the holidays and get your read on.  The remaining books and schedule follows:
Dec 29th – Millionaire Wives Club by Tu-Shonda Whitaker
Dec 30th - Mrs. Black by Angelia Vernon Menchan
Jan 3rd – Reality Check by Eric Pete
Jan 5th – Who is He To You by Monique Mensah
Jan 5th – Finding Me by Darnella Ford
Jan 7th - On My Knees by Dyanne Davis (ebook)
Jan 12th – The Ideal Wife by Jacquelin Thomas

I know, this has been a wonderful reading time for me, my work is slow this time of year, so I have been reading, reading, reading…
Okay? And, I thought you were the show-off, Sharon. ROFL. But I love that Angelia is joining in and wish other authors would.

This will be a good chat. I love when the author is just as excited as the readers.
I’m enjoying the chat even though I can’t be as active as I’d like. I’ve read several of the books and have more to read. The books I’ve also added some of the books I missed to my TBR list to chek out later.

I forgot I read PUSH/Precious by Sapphire too!
There is almost nothing I love more than talking about my books, for the last couple years almost twice a month I sit across the room from readers who want to talk about my quirky mindset and where I come up with my stories~ that is why I have stayed independent it allows me to get out there and talk to folks and meet people. Blessedly, I have a very loyal local following in Florida and for now that is BLESSINGS galore~ I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read my work…for real!
That is nice to know that you are able to do that.
LaDena,
it is nice, my husband and I see it as mini vacations~ drive somewhere, sell books, talk about books, snuggle somewhere nice~ back home~
angelia
This is so cool, Angelia. I can’t wait to read it and discuss.
-Tee
I’m enjoying the challenge and book chats! So far I’ve read and participated in all the books and chats except for Push by Sapphire. Not to mention my own personal read-a-thon’s I keep finding myself on.
Well tell us about your personal marathons!
Well since you asked…I’m still in the midst of my Bev Jenk (Beverly Jenkins) read-a-thon. I have a few more to go, before I’m finished. I had a ball when she chatted with us last week. Before this read-a-thon LaDena and I had a Darnella Ford read-a-thon. I’m looking forward to that chat!
Jaime,
I am going on a Bev Jenkins readathon tomorrow ‘Cilla immediately mailed me five books~ I have really cool friends~
You are too much, sis!
I’ve read all of Darnella Ford’s books except the new one, which I will read for the challenge. That woman can write!! I can’t wait to chat with her.

Now that the show-offs are done, I’m going to post my list and I’m SO PROUD since I haven’t been able to read this much in one month since before the baby. Now granted, a few days I was finishing up when the chats started…lol, but still. I’m almost hanging. One Night With You by Francis Ray (4.5)
Have Mercy by Earl Sewell (3.5)
Bring on the Blessings by Beverly Jenkins (4.5)
His Invisible Wife by Shelia Goss (3.5)
Total Eclipse of the Heart by Zane (4)
-Tee
LOL!!! You’ve done quite a bit there for a woman who stays busy 24/7!!!
Well, I don’t know if I like the reading part or the chats more. I think the chats have been wonderful. This was a great idea.
I have read the following books:
Push by Sapphire (5)
Trapped in Paradise by Deatri King-Bey (4)
Lady Jasmine by Victoria Christopher Murray (4)
His Invisible Wife by Shelia Goss (4)
Total Eclipse of the Heart by Zane (4.5)
And I participate in all the chats…I think. I gotta catch up on my reading.
Brenda
I’m not doing so great. So far only completed Push (4), and I am working on Bring on the Blessings. Had some unexpected projects come up, but I’m hoping to have a reading marathon between now and the new year. I have the books, and they are taunting me!
Oh, wait! I also read One Night With You (4.5). So not as bad as I thought:)
