Deborah
Slappey Pitts’ writings of short stories, essays, and poetry span some 35
years, beginning with her first poem, The Beginning and the End, penned during
her high school years. I Feel Okay is her first published novel. Deborah resides in
Columbus, Georgia with husband, Marshall Pitts. She holds a B.S. degree in
Marketing from Georgia Southwestern University, Americus, Georgia and a M.B.A.
degree from Albany State University, Albany, Georgia.

LACONNIE TAYLOR-JONES
LaConnie Taylor-Jones
holds advanced degrees in community public health and
business administration and has written several scientific
research publications for the past fifteen years. When not
writing, she’s involved with the Contra Costa Alumnae
chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the African
American Community Health Advisory Committee, and Black
Women Organized for Political. An active member of the San
Francisco Area and Black Diamonds chapters of RWA since
2003, Taylor-Jones has combined her writing skills with a
twenty-five-year passion for reading romance in the
completion of two full-length multicultural romance
novels, When I’m With You and
When A Man Loves A Woman.

CHERYL MATLOCK is a native of Chicago and a graduate
of Roosevelt University. Exploring the complexities of
male/female relations has been the primary focus of her
work. She has lectured at universities on relationship
topics and has conducted relationship seminars. Cheryl is
also film producer and director. Her film projects
include a thought-provoking documentary called Keepin’
It Real and a spirited comedy entitled Sergio’s
Blues. She is currently working on another novel and a
screenplay for her novel Next Time - the story of
a thick sistah with a firecracker-temper living the
golden age of forty and dealing with the consequences of
her romantic choices.

L. E. Coleman
has spent over twenty-five years in both the private and
public sector working with various individuals and
populations in the areas of mental health and social
services. He has held numerous support positions in the
Indiana Family and Social Services Administration and now
spends his time working with children who suffer from
various mental health challenges. He is the author of
How to Stop Hatin Yo Baby's Momma and The Black
Man's Little Book of Success Secrets. He resides in
Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife and son.

O. J. Harp III, Ph.D. is a
native of Atlanta, GA and resides in Fort Washington, MD.
He is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University and Howard
University. He has worked in the District of Columbia
Public Schools, in the area of special education, for more
than two decades. He's a Clinical Psychologist and world
traveler.
On a
trip to Egypt he became enamored with the oldest sculpture
on Earth--the Great Sphinx. Possibly more than 10,000
years old, whose face was it? This question permeated his
consciousness and provided the inspiration for his novel,

MICHELLE LARKS
Michelle Larks is a wife,
mother of two beautiful daughters, and a Systems
Programmer
in the IT industry. She was born in the Windy City
(Chicago) and is a resident of a
western suburb of Chicago. She was named a Distinguished
Resident in 2005 in her
hometown due to her literary contributions.
Her love and passion
for writing prompted her to write her first book, A
Myriad of
Emotions which was released in March 2003 to critical
acclaim. Michelle’s other
published work include, Crisis Mode (2005),
Mirrored Images (2006), Who’s Your
Daddy (2006), and she contributed to two anthologies,
Blended Families (2006) and The
Midnight Clear (2006).
Her newest title, Keeping Misery Company, was
released October 30, 2007.

PAULA CHASE-HYMAN
Paula Chase-Hyman doesn't mind
being known as a Jane of all trades, Queen of none. But a
single theme has followed throughout her career in
communications—keeping her finger on the pulse of teen
culture. From starting her own mentoring group at
Annapolis Senior High School in '94 to coaching her Green
Hornet cheerleaders to Grand Champion (ahem, twice),
Chase-Hyman refuses to squash her inner teen diva.
Luckily, her long memory for all things
young led to a career writing young adult novels.
