RAWSISTAZ Reviewers on Thugs And The Women Who Love Them

In THUG LOVIN’ (Grand Central Publishing; $14.99; August 10, 2009), New York Times bestselling author Wahida Clark delivers an explosive, hot ‘n tempting fourth installment to the notorious “Thug Series”.

Tasha and Trae Macklin are the envied couple of the hood. After escaping a drug bust by the skin of their teeth, they decided to run away to Jamaica to hide out for a while and let the smoke clear. The drama in New York seemed like a distant dream after a while, and Tasha and Trae decided started anew in Los

Angles would be the perfect move. Trae promised his wife that this time would be different- family first, leave the game behind them and that he had his mind geared on starting a nightclub and making it big. It wasn’t long before Tasha realized you can take the thug out of the streets, but never the thug out of the man.

This is a rambunctious ride through the streets of LA that displays street sense from both sides of the relationship. The marriage is tested, the sheets are hot, and temptation tantalizes from every possible angle. Just when you think the most has been thrown at Tasha and Trae, drugs, lies and scandal are only the beginning, but can they keep it together? Wahida Clark, the Queen of “Thug Love” Fiction, delivers a multifaceted urban tale filled with big money, big dreams, and big consequences in THUG LOVIN’.
